Contrariamente alle previsioni, le successive notti hanno consentito qualche ora di cielo senza luna e senza nuvole, sebbene il seeing non fosse un granché. Ho potuto quindi riprendere Sharpless 261 anche con il filtro Ossigeno 3, che insieme alla precedente sessione in H-alfa mi consente quantomeno di ottenere una immagine a colori con la tecnica della Bicolor Palette. Il software di elaborazione Pixinsight possiede potenti algoritmi matematici per uso image processing e i lavori sono quasi terminati. Tra qualche giorno, se l'immagine finale risulterà soddisfacente, la pubblicherò nella Gallery del mio sito.

Contrary to forecasts, the following nights allowed a few hours of moonless and cloudless sky, although seeing was not very good. I was therefore able to shoot Sharpless 261 also with the Oxygen 3 filter, which together with the previous session in H-alpha filtering allows me at least to obtain a color image with the Bicolor Palette technique. Pixinsight processing software has powerful mathematical algorithms for image processing use and the works are almost finished. In a few days, if the final image is satisfactory, I will publish it in the Gallery of my site.
